Form Templates
Form Templates allow for the customization of inspection lists and the pre-filling of report fields. Once saved, they are available for selection when creating a new Inspection, and when adding a new Inspection Form to an existing Inspection.
Templates are critical to an efficient inspection workflow on-site. Eneris allows for easy customization of templates and includes the most commonly used templates in US and Canadian markets to help you get started quickly.
If there is a template you would like to see, we would love to hear about it.
Form templates allow you to:
- Customize what categories (e.g. Roof, Plumbing, HVAC) and components (e.g. Roof Coverings, Water Heater, Heating System) are included.
- Define the Shared Fields that appear within each component (e.g., Perhaps you would like the Description, Condition, Risk, and Recommend Action fields to appear in every component).
- Define component specific fields (e.g., Only the
Heating Systemscomponent would have the Heating Energy Source, Heating System Type, and Heating System Brand fields). - Set up field options so your responses are consistent, fast, and standardized.
- Select default entries (e.g., General limitation statements may be the same for every inspection).
How you setup and use Form Templates is completely up to you.
- You can stick to using our default templates.
- You can create a master template for use in all your inspections.
- You can create templates for specific property types (e.g., If you inspect a lot of apartments you may want to create a new template that does not include components like
FireplaceorGuttersas they would not be relevant).
Once created, Form Templates can be reused across multiple inspections, saving time and improving report consistency.

When creating a new inspection you must select a Form Template:
- Begin creating a new Inspection.
- At the bottom, select the
Form Templatedropdown.
- Select the desired Form Template.
- Select
Create inspection. - The Form Template is now loaded into the inspection, ready for use.
Adding a Form Template to an Existing Inspection
- Open the Inspection you wish to add a new Form Template to.
- Navigate to the Inspection Forms section.
- Select
Add New.
- Select the desired Form Template.
- The Form Template has been successfully loaded as an Inspection Form in the Inspection.
Reminder: Each Inspection can have one or more Inspection Forms associated with it. Inspection Forms allow you to associate different types of inspections with a single inspection site visit.
Applying Inspection Form changes to the Form Template
At this time, any changes made directly in an Inspection Form are not automatically saved into your Form Template.
- We are building a robust solution for this in the near future. Stay tuned!
